The embossed line is slightly offset from the center of the mat, so when rolled up the edges are closely aligned.

Finding the Right Balance

We went with 7P Free for the following reasons:

7P Free: free of harmful phthalates DBP, BBP, DEHP, DINP, DNOP, DIDP, and DNHP. Durability to maximize the life of the mat (less mats that then need to be produced, transported, and disposed)

Important Notes on Grip & Material

For hot yoga we recommend using our mat with a towel.

While our mat is manufacturer-graded anti-slip, high moisture & sweat from a hot yoga environment can reduce the grip & stickiness of the mat.

Rubber & microfiber-surfaced mats are alternatives for hot yoga if you don’t want to use a towel. However, many of these other materials keep a strong grip because they absorb sweat, which is great for grip, but not great for hygiene due to increased bacteria.

We appreciate many of those materials, but at this time they don’t have the durability to sustain an embossed fold over repeated uses.

*AS AN ADDED PRECAUTION DUE TO COVID: we’ve had our manufacturer add a shrink wrap to each mat. As a result, you may notice the “new yoga mat smell” when unwrapping the mat. We recommend unrolling the mat, and airing it out for 2-3 days before use.
